Inappropriate loading, overloading or unsecured loads will have an adverse effect on the platform and could lead to serious injury or death of personnel.   • IPAF has been made aware of a safety alert from the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regarding failure to detect mechanical failure in drive units which affects Mast Climbing Work Platforms (MCWPs).

  • IPAF’s Women in Powered Access initiative aims to recognise and celebrate the contributions of women in powered access, as well as outlining career pathways for women both already in the industry and those looking to enter it.

  • A safety trail demonstrating positive behaviours to help prevent falls from the platform will be hosted in support of IPAF’s Don’t Fall For It! industry safety campaign at Vertikal Days 2022, where IPAF will also launch its new Women in Powered Access initiative.
