  • This Toolbox Talk provides guidance for powered access rental companies on how to deal with suspected asbestos contaminated equipment when it is off-hired.

    IPAF Women in Powered Access Mentoring Scheme

    IPAF’s Women in Powered Access initiative are launching a mentoring scheme for Women in the Powered Access Industry who are looking for extra support and guidance to sustain and promote their career within the Powered Access Industry.

  • A company has the right to cancel its membership application at any time during the membership application process, prior to being confirmed as an IPAF member.

  • Never elevate the platform occupants from the ground controls. There is an increased risk of crushing/entrapment if you elevate people from the ground control position.

  • Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) are supplied with both ground and platform controls to comply with International MEWP design standards. Manufacturer’s operators’ manuals identify that the primary operator control station is in the platform and that the ground controls should only be used to carry out pre-use inspections without anyone in the platform, or for emergency descent purposes only.
