IPAF Elevation Switzerland 2020
IPAF Elevation Switzerland is an opportunity for IPAF Swiss members to meet and network. The event will follow our yearly Professional Development Seminar (PDS) for Swiss IPAF approved instructors.
The first speakers have been confirmed for IPAF Summit, to be held in London, UK, on 23 April, as the event and the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) gala dinner are set to sell out quickly. The IAPAs shortlist has also now been confirmed.
The shortlisted entrants to the 2020 International Awards for Powered Access) have been confirmed. A record 130 entries to the awards were received, with the judges meeting earlier this month in London to select their favourite entries in each category.
IPAF is heading to Santiago, Chile, to take part in CONEXPO Latin America, for the major construction and infrastructure trade show that will be hosted on October 2-5.

Norty Turner has been named as the President of IPAF, after Brad Boehler decided to step down having recently left his role at member firm Skyjack. Karin Nars of Dinolift becomes Deputy President and Karel Huijser of JLG is named as Vice President.
Andy Studdert, interim CEO and MD of IPAF, has used his closing remarks at the Europlatform 2019 conference in Nice, France, to pay tribute to departed IPAF President Brad Boehler, who stepped down after leaving his role at Skyjack recently.

Join IPAF at CONEXPO for a unique opportunity to take IPAF’s new course for MEWP supervisors. It is now a requirement in the updated ANSI standards, that companies that use MEWPs must designate a person to monitor, supervise and evaluate operators on a regular basis to ensure their proficiency and these individuals must receive MEWP supervisor training.

All valid PAL Cards issued by IPAF to operators of MEWP or MCWPs worldwide are now Smart cards. PAL Cards must be renewed every five years; every PAL Card issued since 1 January 2015 has featured Smart technology to assist in preventing fraud and unauthorised machine use.
All Conexpo delegates who visit IPAF’s stand can learn how to select a MEWP, why they must have a safe-use plan, and why to train both operators and supervisors to improve workplace safety by complying with new ANSI standards. IPAF will also offer free supervisor training in the two days prior to the March 10-14 event.
IPAF members are welcomed to join us on the 16th February at Marriot Courtyard Hotel. Presentations will be made giving you information on the activity throughout the Middle East Region, along with IPAF Middle East Regional Council report. A great opportunity for networking with industry professionals.
