Launch of the new IPAF Portal and Message Inbox

The new IPAF Portal and Message Inbox are almost ready and will be available to Training Centres on Monday 20 November.

Please be advised, during the weekend of 18 & 19 November the current Training Centre Administration System (TCAS) and other IPAF systems will either be unavailable or users may experience disruption. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

What is the IPAF Portal?

The IPAF Portal will be the new entry point for access to different IPAF systems and processes including licence applications. (You are actually already using the portal for licence distribution and eLearning allocation, but current access is via TCAS.)

So instead of accessing TCAS and clicking though to the portal for licence distribution, you will start in the new portal and navigate to parts of TCAS. Over time, these old parts of TCAS will be replaced and will be accessed through the new portal. All main navigation links currently on TCAS will be available in the new portal.

Note, the portal will be the starting page for everyone (initially Training Centres & Instructors). The new portal assigns a permission status to each user, meaning users only see functions and features relevant to them.

What is the Message Inbox?

The Message Inbox is your personal inbox to view messages, announcements, and notifications from IPAF. Most training and system related communications will appear in this inbox removing the reliance on emails.

The new Message Inbox feature enables delivery of the right message, to the right person in a timely fashion. Messages can also be displayed as banners across the portal dashboard, or within pop-up messages to alert you of important information or critically required actions.

By default, all portal users will also be notified by email that they have a new unread message in their message inbox and will be asked to log in to the portal to read it. You can opt out of these email notifications if you wish but cannot opt out of being sent messages in the messaging inbox.

Note, we will continue to communicate with you and your colleagues by email, these will be promotional, marketing and event emails, including the new Training Bulletin, which you can opt out of at any time.

For any queries you may have, you can find support links on the portal dashboard.

We are looking forward to sharing this latest update with you and trust you will find it convenient and user-friendly. Should you have any feedback please let us know.
