IPAF and VPPPA form strategic partnership to advance safety standards
IPAF North America and the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA) have joined forces in a strategic alliance to enhance workplace safety standards across the powered access industries.
This collaboration focuses on promoting prevention strategies, advancing safety technologies, and educating professionals on safe mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) use. Recognising the critical role of safety management systems, equipment manufacturers, and certified safety solutions, the alliance seeks to unite efforts that will ultimately lead to safer work environments globally.
Together, IPAF and VPPPA will focus on four key areas to drive progress:
- Improving worker protection through promotion of effective prevention strategies and emerging safety technologies.
- Encouraging employers and employees to adopt proactive solutions to mitigate industry-leading hazards.
- Educating safety and health professionals on proper equipment use and the value of employee involvement in workplace safety culture.
- Promoting innovation in powered access equipment and training to protect the workforce of today—and the future.
Randy Marzicola, Vice President, IPAF North America, said:
IPAF is thrilled to join forces with VPPPA. Our shared dedication to MEWP safety, training, and innovation will help us make a lasting impact on job sites around the world. As leaders in safety advocacy and training, both VPPPA and IPAF are committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence in occupational health and safety.
VPPPA Executive Director Chris Williams, CAE, said:
VPPPA’s strategic alliance with IPAF is built on our organisation’s shared vision: to ensure that every worker goes home at the end of their shift in the same—or better—condition than which they arrived. By coming together, we can better support employers in pursuit of continuous improvement in health and safety.
