Three elements are crucial to guarantee the safe operation of mastclimbing work platforms (MCWPs). These are training, technical inspections, and maintenance. In this webinar, expert guest speakers will examine each of these three main areas, looking at best practice to ensure safe and effective use of MCWPs, covering the entire lifecycle of these machines.

Ayumu Kikuhara was educated in Japan and in the USA, where he lived for more than a decade, Ayumu is a businessman with more than 30 years' experience in the construction industry. Currently, he is President of the second largest MCWP rental company in Japan. He pioneered the rack and pinion industry in the country and led the development of the first safety regulations for MCWPs in Japan.

Cliff is responsible for all aspects of technical training courses and support across Alimak’s product range of MCWP, construction hoists and industrial lifts.  As an IPAF senior instructor / CAP assessor, he provides IPAF training and CAP assessment for MCWPs and Construction Hoists. He participates in various industry committees, IPAF UK MCWP and Hoists working groups, and CPA CHIG working groups, helping to promote and increase safety and good practice within the rack and pinion driven sector of the vertical access industry. 
Angel Ibanez Angel Ibanez,

Angel is in charge of developing IPAF’s membership services and training programmes for MCWPs and related products (materials hoists, transport platforms and passenger hoists). With 25 years experience in different areas of the machinery, automotive and construction sectors, he has a broad experience in the MCWP and hoist industry worldwide. Previous experience includes: Sales Manager for the Spanish manufacturer Torgar lifting equipment, and latterly as an independent consultant in the sector, advising commercial clients and industry bodies in Europe and Asia, like the Japanese Lift Climber Association, with a focus on developing and adapting industry standards. He has a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA.
Scott Grant Scott Grant,
Director, Safety Training and Consultancy Services Ltd (STaCS)
Following a career in the Royal Navy, Scott joined Alimak Hek Ltd in 2006, working worldwide on all aspects of industrial lift, hoist, and MCWP installations, service and repair. Scott’s extensive experience includes planning construction and industrial hoist and lift installations, delivering training across a wide range of access equipment as an IPAF instructor, including scissor and boom lifts, Mast Climbing Work Platforms, and hoists. Scott co-founded GTI Hoist in 2015 and has recently formed a new training company to offer a range of workplace safety training across various industry sectors.
