IPAF’s world-leading quality training is now available in Lithuania for the first time, to meet the ongoing boom in demand for trained MEWP operators across the region.

The latest edition of Elevating Safety, IPAF’s magazine for readers in North America, is now available in print and digital format. The 2018 edition contains expert advice and insight into new North American standards, considers the future of powered access, and asks “should ladders be banned from US job sites?”

Despite incident reporting increasing over the past year, the fatality rates of the most common types of accidents have declined, according to IPAF’s Global Safety Report.

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Reid as the new Chair of the Mast Climbing Work Platforms (MCWP) & Hoist International Committee. In his new role, Reid will lead IPAF’s mission to promote the safe and effective use of Mast Climbing Work Platforms and Construction Hoists worldwide through technical expertise, guidance, and training to meet industry standards and regulations.

All Conexpo delegates who visit IPAF’s stand can learn how to select a MEWP, why they must have a safe-use plan, and why to train both operators and supervisors to improve workplace safety by complying with new ANSI standards. IPAF will also offer free supervisor training in the two days prior to the March 10-14 event.

IPAF’s globally recognised PAL Card operator training has launched in a new language and new territory – with member firm Riwal now delivering the operator course in Russian to training candidates in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.
