Holiday Inn Wakefield

Booking is now open for those wishing to attend the first UK regional meeting of 2019, which will be hosted by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) at the Holiday Inn, Wakefield, on Wednesday 6 February, beginning at 6:30pm

The North East & Yorkshire Regional Meeting is hosted by Brian Parker, Business Development Manager (Technical Support) at IPAF member firm AFI-Uplift. He is also among the confirmed speakers for the event and will give a talk on mental health.

Marcus Hackney, Managing Director of Military People, will give a presentation on why Armed Forces leavers are perfect for the powered access sector, and completing the line-up of speakers will be Lee Wilkinson, NRSWA & NHSS Trainer/Assessor at Road Traffic Solutions Traffic Management, who will talk about planning and implementing safe MEWP works on or adjacent to the public highway. Richard Whiting, IPAF’s UK Market General Manager, will give an update on the latest IPAF news and agenda for the months ahead in the UK.

IPAF’s regional meetings are an informal opportunity to meet other members and to discuss the role of IPAF. All IPAF members, colleagues, customers and suppliers are welcome and are requested to register in advance.

Richard Whiting comments: “IPAF’s North East/Yorkshire regional meeting is always well attended, and a great way to kick off a new year of IPAF meetings in the UK, offering a thought-provoking line-up of speakers.

“Last year across the whole programme of UK regional meetings, including the inaugural Elevation in Coventry, we had around 400 attendees. These are great opportunities to meet hear new ideas applicable to operating a successful business in the powered access sector, and to network and socialise with like-minded individuals.

“I urge all those who wish to attend to secure their place without delay and look forward to seeing everybody in Wakefield on 6 February.”

Following the presentations there will be a buffet and an opportunity to network with the speakers and other attendees. There is a subsidised charge of £10 (inclusive of VAT) per head for IPAF members, £15 (inc VAT) per head for non-members. After registration, attendees will be invoiced for the total amount. IPAF accepts payment via all major credit and debit cards or payment via BACS.
