Booking is now open for this year’s Summit of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), which will be hosted for the first time ever as a global virtual event in conjunction with a digital prize-giving ceremony for the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) on 18 March 2021, from 3pm GMT.

The theme of the condensed digital summit will be sustainability, and the digital event will be hosted by Mark Durden Smith, presenter of English rugby union coverage on national TV in the UK. Thanks to the support of event sponsors, registration for the event is free to all those wishing to join; anyone wishing to become a digital delegate is advised to visit the website at www.iapa-summit.info/booking without delay.

The theme of the IPAF Summit will consider the wider question of sustainability in powered access, the challenges of operating safely and effectively in the post-Covid-19 era, and the opportunities of digital and technological innovation for safer work at height and quality training. The confirmed line-up of presenters for the event includes:

• Suzannah Nichol, CEO, Build UK

• Søren Brogaard, Trackunit

• Murray Pollok, Managing Editor of Access International

• Peter Douglas, CEO & MD of IPAF

• Karel Huijser (JLG), Pierre Boels (Boels) and Norty Turner (United Rentals) in a virtual round-table discussion on sustainability in powered access.

Each of the keynote presentations and discussions will be interspersed by announcements of the category winners of the 2020-21 IAPAs, as well as coffee breaks featuring video presentations from sponsors, and a closing virtual networking session.

Peter Douglas, CEO of IPAF, says: “We may have been forced to change the way we normally do things owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but we are pleased and excited that through this innovative online approach many attendees from around the world will still be able to benefit from a high-quality series of speakers and to participate in the celebrations as we announce the latest winners of the various IAPAs categories. We hope people will be able to join us and that they are looking forward to this event in an exciting new digital format as much as we are. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors CMC Lift, Hinowa and ELS Lift for their support, for helping to make this event happen.”

Murray Pollok, Editorial & Events Director for KHL Group, comments: “We are very confident that this new format will offer a high-quality blend of speakers and exciting announcements of the IAPAs winner, interspersed by opportunities for delegates from around the globe to network digitally and participate fully in what should be both an informative and fun event.

“Please do visit the event website to find out more about the event, including the full programme, and to secure your place – completely free of charge – without delay.”
