IPAF takes safe loading/unloading message to Plantworx 2023

Plantworx 2023

Representatives of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) are attending the Plantworx 2023 event on 13-15 June at the East of England Showground near Peterborough to promote its Safe Loading and Unloading campaign; alongside offering free safety and technical guidance and accompanying materials to event attendees.

The tagline of the new IPAF Safe Loading, Unloading and Transportation of MEWPs is that “safety should never be left to chance”, and IPAF’s representatives are on hand across the three-day show to offer support, technical guidance, and to talk about wider IPAF safety campaigns, including Don’t Fall for It! Visitors can also discuss latest leaflets, stickers, Andy Access posters and Toolbox Talk safety briefings.

Peter Douglas, CEO & MD of IPAF, comments: “Plantworx is a very well-attended industry event and an ideal platform to showcase IPAF’s global safety campaigns. IPAF’s Global Safety Report, due for publication later this month, shows how rental activity including loading and unloading MEWPs at work sites leads to a significant number of incidents each year, with personnel at risk of serious injury; hence why we are keen to promote our Safe Loading and Unloading campaign at the event.”

Visitors to IPAF’s stand will also be reminded about IPAF Elevation, the UK event which will be held after a two-year hiatus on 16-17 November 2023. The event will continue to celebrate IPAF’s 40 years in the powered access industry and will celebrate with guests at the gala dinner and next day activities of a golf or spa package option. Bookings are open now via the www.ipaf.org/elevation website.
