IPAF’s latest safety campaign is called Street Smart and emphasises the importance of working safely at height using MEWPs on or next to roads. It is being launched by IPAF at the bauma 2019 expo at Messe München, Munich, Germany, 8-14 April.

IPAF is supporting from The No Falls Foundation, the first and only UK charity dedicated exclusively to the work at height sector, urging workers to ‘Be Safe, Don’t Fall, Stay Alive!’, as lockdown eases and UK construction activity begins to increase.

The annual Europlatform conference hosted by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) in conjunction with Access International heard how the global fleet of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) will grow almost exponentially over the next two decades to reach 7 million machines worldwide, up from 1.25 million today.
