Representatives of IPAF have paid tribute to “dear friend” Cliff Goring of Alimak, a Senior IPAF Instructor and CAP assessor, who has died following a short illness.

Registration is open for next year’s IPAF Summit and International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs), which returns to the UK for the first time in five years.

A Safety Alert Protocol has been developed by the UK Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group (SFPSG) MEWPs Group. The Protocol describes a voluntary standard for Safety Alerts issued by contractors and others who have incidents they believe may be related to the design, manufacture, maintenance or use of MEWPs.

Andy Studdert, interim CEO and MD of IPAF, has used his closing remarks at the Europlatform 2019 conference in Nice, France, to pay tribute to departed IPAF President Brad Boehler, who stepped down after leaving his role at Skyjack recently.

Haulotte, the international MEWP manufacturer, has reached a historic agreement that sees it become one of the first sustaining members of IPAF, which was formally signed at the Europlatform 2018 conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on 11 October.

The annual Innovate powered access industry workshop, presentation and award event has been canceled in 2020 owing to uncertainty around the global coronavirus outbreak by host IPAF. The event had been planned for May 5-6 in Chicago, IL.
