  • The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has been announced as Association Partner for HIREland 2026, the inaugural plant, tool and access hire exhibition taking place on 26 March 2026 at the National Show Centre, Dublin.

  • IPAF has released ePAL version 3.2, introducing a range of new features designed to improve record keeping, data sharing and usability, alongside general stability and platform updates.

    Launched in June 2021, the ePAL app, developed by Trackunit, reached the one-million download mark in August 2025, and continues to see strong adoption across the powered access industry.

    The latest update strengthens ePAL’s role as a practical digital tool for powered access operators, supervisors and employers, making it easier to manage safety-critical information and demonstrate compliance when required.

  • IPAF has confirmed that it has updated one of its most widely used global safety stickers for use on MEWPs – launching an important redesign of the decal that is applied to machines to indicate where the auxiliary lowering controls are located.

  • The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has modified its eLearning operator theory module to include facial recognition technology currently deployed as a security measure on its MEWPs for Managers eLearning course. By utilising the camera on the candidate’s device or computer, this ensures only the trainee under assessment is able to undergo the eLearning.

  • An agreement between IPAF and a local chapter of the National Safety Council of India will see the two organisations work together in the state of Kerala to spread awareness about key risks and mitigations when working at height.

  • Workers and managers using MEWPs to install and remove seasonal decorations and lights are being urged to download a comprehensive new technical guidance booklet that can help to avoid safety issues and to mitigate the key risks involved.

  • IPAF has issued a further update in regard to industry concerns around the use of the platform emergency stop function in MEWPs following another meeting of its training, safety and technical experts, representatives of its Training Committee, International Safety Committee and Manufacturers’ Technical Committee on 13 December.

  • The Working at Height Conference & Awards, created and organized by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and Access, Lift & Handlers (ALH) magazine, will take place on November 20 at Music City Center in Nashville. This new event, which combines IPAF’s annual North American Innovate event and ALH’s long-standing ALH Conference & Awards, will highlight the use of aerial platforms to improve site productivity and safety.

  • Speakers have been announced for the IPAF Summit 2023, to be held in Berlin, Germany, on 20 April. The theme of the IPAF Summit has been confirmed as “The Future” – a look ahead to challenges and opportunities in powered access worldwide.

  • The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) returns to Brazil for IPAF ElevAÇÃO 2024, now in its 11th edition. The event will take place from May 8th to May 9th at Hotel Terras Altas, located in Itapecerica da Serra within the São Paulo metropolitan region.

  • The first wave of apprentices on a new route to certifying specialist MEWP technicians have been celebrated by representatives of IPAF as they embarked on their studies at North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College.

The theme for the Summit is “Quantifying Sustainability”.
