From billboard installations in cities to the summits of skyscrapers, from viaducts to industrial facilities - any task requiring work at height is made safer and easier thanks to the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). The largest event in Türkiye dedicated to this vital sector, Platform Gunleri, will take place on September 18–20, 2025, at Istanbul Tuzla Autodrom.

Since its inception in 2021, Platform Gunleri has become a flagship event for Türkiye’s MEWP industry. Growing every year, the event promotes technological transformation, occupational safety awareness, and industry collaboration, and brings together industry professionals, manufacturers, distributors, rental companies, and public sector representatives. Hosted by PLATFORMDER, which is also the official international partner of IPAF, and organized by HYBRID İletişim, the event will once again serve as the sector’s premier meeting point.

Registration is ongoing for this eagerly anticipated event, which draws great interest from companies providing direct or indirect services to the industry.

A Model for Occupational Safety: The Social Impact of Platform Gunleri

Saruhan Günaydın, Chairman of the Board of PLATFORMDER, emphasised that Platform Gunleri is not just a sectoral event but also a public health and safety campaign, stating:

“In Türkiye, work accidents caused by falls from height used to account for the largest share of fatal workplace incidents. However, with the growing adoption of MEWPs, this rate dropped from 37.5% in 2020 to 32.2% by the end of 2023. This shows not only that machines are being elevated - but awareness as well.”

Günaydın added that the event plays a critical role in spreading this awareness, noting that hundreds of professionals participate each year in on-site safety simulations, training sessions, and operator certification programs.

Growth Backed by Numbers

Türkiye’s MEWP industry has shown remarkable growth in recent years:

  • The number of active MEWPs increased from 18,500 in 2020 to around 35,000 by the end of 2024 - an approximate growth of 90% over five years.
  • Approximately 80% of these machines are operated by rental companies.

This expansion is driving both domestic manufacturing and international investment interest. Platform Gunleri 2025 provides a fertile ground for strategic partnerships and business negotiations to support this momentum.

A Culture Built in Just Four Years

The four-year journey of Platform Gunleri has not only showcased machinery but also cultivated a unique sectoral culture. Each edition of the event has focused on different themes, shaping the collective memory of the industry while fostering shared values around safety, collaboration, and sustainability.

In 2025, the event will evolve further - offering enriched content, a more diverse participant profile, and a strategic, multi-stakeholder setup built on past experiences.

Beyond a Trade Show: A Full-Fledged Sectoral Experience

Platform Gunleri 2025 is more than just a traditional trade show. It offers a multidimensional experience for the entire industry. Highlights will include:

  • Next-generation machinery showcases
  • Demo driving zones
  • Operator training and certification programs
  • Work-at-height safety simulations
  • Sectoral panels and public-private forums

Participants will not only engage with the latest technologies but also connect directly with regulatory bodies and collaboration networks.

With on-site media coverage, interview studios, and live broadcasts, Platform Gunleri 2025 aims to unite all stakeholders under one roof. Visitors will gain hands-on access to cutting-edge innovations and connect face-to-face with the decision-makers shaping the industry’s future.
