New IPAF MEMBER BENEFIT: SUSTAINABILITY PATHWAYS ELEARNING

Sustainability Pathways

IPAF has launched a new member benefit - Sustainability Pathways eLearning - designed to help IPAF members build sustainability skills to improve their operations and stay competitive in a greener marketplace.

In support of the UK government’s Build Back Greener strategy and the national goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050, this free, online training - delivered in partnership with the Supply Chain Sustainability School - offers bite-sized learning pathways tailored to the powered access sector. The courses aim to equip IPAF members with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to embed sustainability into their operations and stand out in an increasingly environmentally conscious marketplace.

"As environmental responsibility becomes a core business expectation, especially in tendering processes, it’s critical that our members are ready to lead," said Richard Whiting, IPAF’s UK General Manager. "We are proud to offer this training as a free benefit to our members. It’s a practical way to future-proof businesses and support our industry's journey to a greener future."

Two Pathways to Fit Every Role

Members can choose from two tailored learning tracks:

  • IPAF Learning Pathway for MEWP Management
(Designed for supervisors, managers, and business owners)
  • IPAF Learning Pathway for MEWP Users

Each pathway takes around two hours to complete and covers core sustainability topics aligned with industry best practices. Upon completion, participants receive an IPAF Sustainability Badge, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable operations.

Key Benefits for Members:

  • Boost competitiveness in tender bids by demonstrating a clear commitment to sustainable operations
  • Contribute meaningfully to national net zero goals and a greener future

The training is 100% online, self-paced, and free to all IPAF members.
