IPAF ElevAÇÃO is the most important event of the powered access industry in Brazil and Latin America. In its fifth year, the two-day conference will help delegates broaden their knowledge of safety issues and legislation, and gives an opportunity to meet other industry professionals to share experiences and network.

The IPAF Networking event is an informal drinks reception held the evening before the IPAF Summit and IAPAs. It will take place in the spectacular American Airlines Arena, home to NBA team, Miami HEAT. The arena is a short distance from the conference hotel and shuttle buses will be in operation.
The IPAF Summit is a high-profile conference bringing together senior representatives from across the access community to discuss and debate the latest developments in our industry.

When working from a boom- type Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP), it is strongly recommended that a lanyard short enough for the wearer to be restrained within the platform be used. The lanyard may contain an energy-absorbing device, provided it is short enough to restrain the wearer within the platform. This includes Static Booms (1b) and Mobile Booms (3b).
Before using a MEWP you must be trained to the applicable MEWP classification and be familiarised on the specific machine. Familiarisation is required on any MEWP that is significantly different in weight, height, length or complexity to the MEWP on which training took place. The operator, supervisor, ground person/rescuer, service engineer and demonstrator all need adequate familiarisation to undertake their duties.
As part of IPAF's Andy Access campaign promoting the safe use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), mast climbing work platforms (MCWPs), and construction hoists, contractors, end-users, and rental firms are encouraged to download the free poster artwork for use in their everyday operations.
MEWP overturn incidents often result in serious injuries or fatalities. Instability leading to overturn is commonly among the top four causes of lost time incidents (LTIs) annually, according to global data.
