Host: ![]() | Brian is Head of Safety & Technical at the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), where he has worked for more than 5 years leading global initiatives to reduce serious and fatal incidents involving powered access equipment. With more than 25 years’ experience in the powered access industry, he has spent over two decades as an IPAF Instructor and previously worked for IPAF Member AFI-Uplift. He also proudly served for eight years in the UK Forces with the Royal Engineers, including overseas operational tours. Brian represents the industry on multiple UK and international standards committees and chairs and supports several international safety and technical committees, playing a leading role in shaping guidance on entrapment prevention, secondary guarding, electrocution risk and rescue planning. A NEBOSH Diploma holder and qualified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Brian is a strong advocate for evidence-led safety leadership and believes lasting improvement comes from combining robust standards, transparent reporting and collaborative learning across the global industry. |
Paul Roddis, Training Manager, IPAF ![]() | Paul has been in the industry for over 20 years and in training for over 10 of those. He is responsible for the creation and delivery of all IPAF training courses worldwide. Prior to joining IPAF Paul was a Senior IPAF Instructor, Lead PASMA Instructor, Lead Ladder Association Instructor, Confined Space Instructor and Assessor, and a CITB Site Management Instructor. He is committed to keeping people safe by creating world class training for Powered Access.

Robert Cavaleri, Snr. Fleet, Training and Compliance Manager, Manlift Group ![]() | Rob has over 38 years of experience in the access industry, including in Australia, the US, Europe, India and the Middle East. He joined the access industry in 1985 beginning with aluminium towers and light swinging stages, followed by telescopic handlers, Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) and power generators. Rob’s efforts are predominantly around continuous improvement in rental, sales, operations, technical, and training for the Manlift Riwal Group.
