Version 3.2 of ePAL app now available

IPAF has released ePAL version 3.2, introducing a range of new features designed to improve record keeping, data sharing and usability, alongside general stability and platform updates.

What’s new in ePAL?

New export feature
Users can now export a spreadsheet containing selected ePAL data, including:

  • Active licences
  • Machines
  • Pre-use checks
  • Familiarisations
  • Work logs

The new export screen allows users to filter by date range and select exactly which information they wish to include. Files can then be shared using the user’s preferred app, such as email or WhatsApp, making it easier to provide information to employers, site managers or clients when required.

MCWP and Construction Hoist pre-use checks
ePAL 3.2 introduces the ability to record non-guided pre-use checks for Mast Climbing Work Platforms (MCWPs) and Construction Hoists. As with other machine types, these checks can be exported as a PDF or included in the spreadsheet data export.

Limited advertising
To help fund ongoing development and the introduction of new features, IPAF has introduced limited advertising within the ePAL app, without charging users directly. Advertising is designed to be unobtrusive and does not interfere with the core functionality of the app. Adverts are delivered via Google and are non-personalised, meaning they do not track user behaviour or create individual profiles. More information is available via the in-app FAQ.

Platform updates and stability improvements
The update also includes general stability improvements and minor interface changes to the iOS app, reflecting Apple’s Liquid Glass updates introduced with iOS 26.
