The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has been announced as Association Partner for HIREland 2026, the inaugural plant, tool and access hire exhibition taking place on 26 March 2026 at the National Show Centre, Dublin.

As part of its partnership, IPAF will exhibit at the show, providing visitors with access to expert guidance on powered access safety, training and best practice for the rental sector. In addition, IPAF Irish Country Manager Damien O’Connor will deliver two presentations focused on why IPAF Rental+ is increasingly important to the hire industry and its customers.

IPAF Irish Country Manager Damien O’Connor, said:

“Hiring powered access equipment is routine across many sectors, but due diligence is often underestimated. Without the right checks in place, organisations may unknowingly introduce unsafe or non-compliant equipment onto their sites, exposing workers, projects and businesses to unnecessary risk.

“IPAF Rental+ helps customers and hirers reduce risk by providing independent assurance that rental companies operate to industry standards and good practices and are supported by competent people. By raising rental standards, we’re not only protecting workers on site, but also helping businesses meet their legal duties with confidence.”

Damien states that for customers, asking for IPAF Rental+ certification helps drive higher health and safety, quality, and environmental standards across the rental sector.

IPAF encourages contractors and end users to ask their suppliers whether they hold IPAF Rental+, and to encourage non-certified companies to join the growing number of IPAF Rental members across the island of Ireland leading the way in safety and professionalism.

HIREland Event Director Brian Coogan added:

"Having IPAF as an Association Partner for HIREland sends a strong message to the rental industry – that this event is more than just an exhibition; it’s an experience for hirers that will add real value to their business. Value around price realisation, optimisation and customer satisfaction.”

Visitors to HIREland 2026 are invited to meet the IPAF team on stand A9 and attend Damien O’Connor’s presentations to learn more about Rental+ and how IPAF can support safer, more compliant operations.
