IPAF opens two Training Centres in Greece

IPAF Greece training centre

IPAF is pleased to announce the opening of two training centres in Greece, with the aim of supporting the country in its efforts to close the gap in occupational safety compared to European standards.

The new centres are located in the country’s two main metropolises – Thessaloniki (MATECO Hellas) and Athens (Active Point) – and will offer high-quality training in the safe use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs).

The decision to expand IPAF's presence in Greece reflects the organisation's commitment to promoting workplace safety globally by offering certified training programmes that help reduce accidents and improve safety awareness. Thanks to the drive of the energy distribution and construction sectors, Greece has shown an increasing focus on improving workplace safety standards in recent years, and the opening of these two centres is a significant step in this direction.

The cities of Thessaloniki and Athens were strategically chosen to cover the training needs of a large geographical and demographic area. Both centres will offer a full range of IPAF courses; participants will have access to modern facilities and qualified instructors, with the aim of ensuring effective, state-of-the-art training.

“Safety at work is a fundamental cornerstone for the progress and development of any country. We are excited to bring our expertise to Greece and contribute to a safer future for workers in the industry,” said Romina Vanzi, Head Regional Development at IPAF. “These new centres represent not only a growth opportunity for IPAF, but also a concrete contribution to Greece's efforts to improve working conditions and safety.”

The opening of the training centres in Thessaloniki and Athens is just the beginning of IPAF's long-term commitment in Greece. Maurizio Quaranta, Italy Country Manager and Support for Greece, reports:

“We plan to work closely with local authorities and companies to promote a safety culture and provide ongoing support through meetings, events and new initiatives. With the opening of these new centres, IPAF once again demonstrates its key role as a leader in the field of elevated work platforms.”
