The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is pleased to announce we will be exhibiting at Vertikal Days 2024, Europe’s largest lifting equipment event, taking place on 11th and 12th September at the Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire.

IPAF will be stationed at Stand 426, near to the catering pavilion, where we will be displaying the "Crushing Can Kill" campaign, released at the IPAF Summit in Copenhagen earlier this year. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting and enabling the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide. The campaign is designed to raise awareness about the dangers of crushing and entrapment in the workplace, offering practical advice and demonstrating preventive measures.

Speaking ahead of the event, Richard Whiting, IPAF's UK Market General Manager said, "IPAF is excited to be part of Vertikal Days 2024 at Newark Showground, where we'll be showcasing our 'Crushing Can Kill' Global Safety Campaign and connecting with industry professionals. The IPAF team will be highlighting the vital importance of preventing crushing and entrapment incidents in the workplace. Our stand will feature live demonstrations on safety hazards and their prevention, as we connect with members new and old and promote safe practices in powered access equipment use. We eagerly anticipate engaging with visitors at Stand 426 and sharing insights on our global commitment to advancing safety standards across all regions."

Attendees are invited to visit the IPAF stand to take part in a short quiz where the 'wheel of mis-fortune' will return, and lucky winners will be able to claim a prize! Visitors can expect to see a variety of machines on display, each highlighting safety hazards and their prevention. Key demonstrations will include:

  • Crushing Prevention: A showcase of advanced measures designed to prevent entrapment and crushing incidents, particularly in confined spaces
  • Pedestrian Control: This demonstration will focus on the safe operation of equipment in environments where pedestrian interaction is frequent
  • Occupant Safety: Emphasising the importance of safeguarding those operating the equipment, this segment will highlight cutting-edge solutions and safety measures to protect operators
  • Entrapment Prevention: Using a realistic setup, this demonstration will focus on avoiding entrapment risks through safe operation practices and the use of modern technology
  • Secondary Guarding: This feature will focus on the additional protective measures available to operators. The demonstration will provide insights into the latest innovations in secondary guarding

In addition to our safety demonstrations, IPAF’s presence at Vertikal Days will provide opportunities for engagement with current and new members, and discussions on the latest industry trends and challenges. We invite all attendees to visit our stand to learn more about our initiatives and to participate in networking opportunities with industry professionals.

Vertikal Days 2024 will be held on the Vulcan Runway at Newark Showground, which spans 126 acres, offering more exhibition space than ever before. The event is set to be the largest lifting equipment gathering in Europe, with a significant number of new product launches and technological advancements on display.
