IPAF Asia Regional Council Meeting First Meeting of 2026
The IPAF Asia Regional Council held its first meeting of 2026 on March 24 to outline strategic priorities, focusing on regional growth and collaborative initiatives. A primary topic of discussion was a proposed Regional Joint Campaign to encourage mandatory accident and near-miss reporting, as the council explores strategies to shift industry culture from "blame" toward proactive prevention.
Strategic expansion remains a top priority, with Taiwan nearing the membership threshold to establish a dedicated workgroup and South Korea appointing its first senior instructor to advance local training. In Malaysia, the network is set to grow with new training centers and the official launch of revised safety guidelines this May. Looking ahead, the council is evaluating Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam as potential hosts for the IPAF Asia Conference 2027, prioritising a location that ensures maximum accessibility for regional stakeholders.
