IPAF held a safety and technology-focused event in Changsha, China, in May, drawing key players from China’s mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) industry. This regional event, sponsored by Hunan Sinoboom Intelligent Equipment and Haulotte China, emphasised the importance of safe operations and innovation in MEWP usage.

IPAF has signed an agreement with ASEAMAC, the Spanish Rental Association, to collaborate on projects and events and to offer discounted affiliate rates on subscriptions and events to members of each organisation. The agreement was signed by Tim Whiteman, CEO & MD of IPAF, and Juan José Torres, President of ASEAMAC, at ASEAMAC’s Annual Conference in Madrid, Spain.

IPAF has helped to introduce ISO-certified MEWP operator training to Sweden, with member company Lipac Liftar now offering PAL Card training for scissor and boom-type equipment.

Amanda Beckett has been announced as IPAF’s new Head of Finance. She joins from Nationwide Platforms, part of Loxam Group, officially taking up post on 9 November.

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is proud to support the Construction Industry Federation’s (CIF) Back to Basics safety campaign, which runs from 13–24 October and encourages everyone in the Irish construction sector to refocus on the fundamental principles of health and safety.
