Kirsty Archbold-Laming Guides Southern Hoist Services to Achieve IPAF Rental+ Certification in Construction Hoist division First

Southern Hoist Services

Southern Hoist Services, part of Claude Fenton Plant Hire, has 32 years of expertise in the Construction Hoist sector. As part of the Claude Fenton Rental+ audit, Southern Hoist Services achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first Construction Hoist division to achieve IPAF Rental+ certification. Kirsty Archbold-Laming, Chair of the Construction Hoist Industry Group (CHIG), spearheaded this effort, demonstrating a commitment to raising standards within the sector.

Martin Wraith, IPAF Rental+ Scheme Manager, commented: “This marks a significant milestone and shows that IPAF Rental+ is of benefit to all sectors within the powered access industry. I’d like to actively encourage all MCWP and Construction Hoist service providers to take a closer look at Rental+ and see how it can benefit their company.”

IPAF Rental+ is an industry-specific accreditation designed to recognise excellence in powered access hire. The certification ensures that companies meet stringent standards for safety, customer service, and staff training, providing reassurance to clients that they are working with a professional and reliable provider.

“The audit is very thorough and encourages companies to reevaluate what they consider good practice, often identifying areas for improvement,” says Kirsty. “There is always room to do better, and this process helps us continuously raise our standards.”

“For us, being IPAF Rental+ certified shows we are serious about maintaining the highest standards in our industry,” Kirsty explains. “It’s tailored to our specific needs, and achieving this sets us apart as we strive to be the best in the business.”

Kirsty believes that the certification is vital for the sector because it helps to eliminate unsafe practices and promote professional standards. “By adhering to the IPAF Rental+ framework, we’re creating a safer, more reliable industry for everyone involved.”

Congratulations to Southern Hoist Services on their landmark achievement!
