IAPAs 2019 shortlist announced after judges’ meeting in Amsterdam

International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA) winners

The shortlist for the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA) 2019 has been announced, following a meeting of the judges’ panel in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The IAPAs are the most prestigious awards in powered access, with more than 100 entries received for this year’s edition of the awards. Winners will be announced on the evening of the IPAF Summit 2019 in Dubai, UAE, on Wednesday 6 March – the first time it has been staged in the Middle East. Those wishing to attend should book their places before 31 January to take advantage of a special early-bird rate. The IAPAs 2019 shortlist is as follows:

The judges for the 2019 IAPAs are: Karin Nars, executive chairman at Finland-based Dinolift; Patrick Witte, vice president global sales and business development, MEC Aerial Work Platforms; Sérgio Kariya, president of Brazil-based Mills Estruturas e Serviços de Engenharia; Teresa Kee, director, corporate safety at US-based United Rentals; with Euan Youdale, editor of Access International, the non-voting chairman.

The IAPAs take place on the same day as the IPAF Summit, with a networking reception on the 5th and a site visit on the 7th to the Manlift depot in Dubai. The summit and networking event are free to attend but delegates must register in advance online. Those wishing to attend the IAPAs celebration dinner can book at a discounted rate until 31 January, while a small non-refundable fee for transport and refreshments will be charged to those wishing to join the Manlift site visit on 7 March.
