The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is pleased to announce Matt Fearon, President of Terex AWP, the global manufacturer of Genie® branded Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs), will be its headline speaker at the organisation’s annual ElevAÇÃO conference, on 5-6 February 2018 in São Paulo, Brazil.

Confirming that Mr Fearon will deliver the event’s keynote address, Tim Whiteman, CEO & Managing Director of IPAF, says: “ElevAÇÃO is a high-profile event so it’s great to be able to announce a suitably high-profile figure as our first confirmed speaker. We can be sure Matt’s address will challenge the industry and will feature real insights into the latest technological innovations, safety best practice and new standards worldwide.”

As in previous years, the ElevAÇÃO event is spread over two days, with Monday 5 February comprising a conference with lectures on safety, technical guidance and business insight and the economics of the powered access sector. IPAF’s Brazil Country Council will also hold its AGM that day.

The following day consists of a Professional Development Seminar (PDS) open to all instructors and managers from IPAF Training Centres across Latin America. The whole event will feature simultaneous translations in Spanish, Portuguese and English.

Antonio Barbosa, IPAF’s Latin America Manager, comments: “No doubt some people will remember that Matt Fearon addressed IPAF’s Summit in Windsor, UK, back in 2014 and what a strong presentation it was; it’s great IPAF can offer a Latin American audience the chance to hear his insights in 2018 – it will certainly be interesting to hear what has changed in our industry in the past few years and what the future might hold. I’d advise anyone with an interest in powered access operations to save the date.

“Booking will open soon and there will be considerable discounts available for those who confirm early. There are also very attractive sponsorship opportunities, and we will also be releasing more details about the programme for the event as they become available,” he adds.
