New auditing scheme for all UK rental members now in effect

2017/09/01

On 1 September, the new rental audit regime came into effect in the UK. The new audit scheme requires all UK rental members to meet the minimum requirements of the updated IPAF Rental+ audit, which includes a Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) accreditation. With this new scheme, members will also have the opportunity to achieve the IPAF Rental+ accreditation to either bronze, silver or gold standard, dependent on passing certain requirements during their audit.

All rental companies in the UK, be they new or existing IPAF members, must undergo an annual audit and current members will have until September 2019 to meet the minimum criteria. IPAF’s dedicated team of  UK auditors has worked hard to prepare for the new audit regime, and has been bolstered by the addition of James Firth, who will aid the team in dealing with the increased audit workload.

All UK members of IPAF who hire out powered access equipment should expect to be contacted by an auditor soon to arrange a date for their first audit.
