From billboard installations in cities to the summits of skyscrapers, from viaducts to industrial facilities - any task requiring work at height is made safer and easier thanks to the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). The largest event in Türkiye dedicated to this vital sector, Platform Gunleri, will take place on September 18–20, 2025, at Istanbul Tuzla Autodrom.

IPAF recently marked a significant milestone in its mission to uphold and align powered access training standards worldwide with a pilot senior instructor workshop held in Changsha, China on 12-13 May. This initiative brought together senior instructors from both Europe and Asia, reinforcing IPAF’s commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality training across all regions.

IPAF held a safety and technology-focused event in Changsha, China, in May, drawing key players from China’s mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) industry. This regional event, sponsored by Hunan Sinoboom Intelligent Equipment and Haulotte China, emphasised the importance of safe operations and innovation in MEWP usage.

IPAF Elevation Deutschland und Österreich 2025, the association’s standout event for the powered access industry, took place across two days on 19 and 20 March, at HKK Wernigerode.

The Working at Height Awards are now open to enter. The awards are free to enter and include categories that cover products, technologies, work processes and programs that enable safe and productive working at height. All shortlisted companies receive two complementary tickets for both the conference and awards. 

In 2023, falls, slips, and trips accounted for 421 of 1,075 construction-related deaths – nearly 39% of all fatalities. Most fatal falls (260) occurred from heights between 6 and 30 feet, with ladders and stairs involved in 109 incidents. These figures emphasise the ongoing need for comprehensive safety training to protect workers in the construction industry.
